Cumnock Primary 6s had 2 tough games against neighbours, Marr on Sunday. Starting off with a few regulars missing meant that they were always up against it against a strong Marr side. The fist game saw Cumnock go down 8 – 2 with tries for Scott Teece and John Watt. As the game went on Cumnock got stronger and started passing the ball really well, especially Tyler Wallace and Kory Galloway but a few missed tackles cost them dear. John Watt and Sean Houston tackled their hearts out and Scott Teece had some big runs up the middle of the park. In the second game Cumnock ran out of steam and ended up loosing 5-1. New player Adam Carballo however had a great time with tackle after tackle against bigger opponents and he rounded everything off with a great try. Lucy Watt was also the fore with some great passing throughout both games. A second try for Scott Teece was well deserved both for him and the team. Next week the team trains on Wednesday at 6:30pm at Broomfield and trains on Sunday (time to be confirmed). Any new players are welcome.
