Cumnock P6 at Ayr

Cumnock P6’s took a revitalised squad down to Ayr on Sunday with 6 new players who had never played a full game of rugby before to play two strong teams in Ayr and GHA. In the first game Cumnock played Ayr A, one of only two teams to have beaten them on grass this season. Cumnock matched Ayr in tight first half only to loose their way a bit in the in the second half, however it was a much improved performance. Cumnock immediately got revenge by beating Ayr B and then GHA in a tight game. All in all the coaches were delighted with all the players, the more experienced boys and Rachael played to their usual high standard but the all the new boys showed great determination and got stuck in. It cant be emphasised enough how good these results are against two strong rugby teams whilst playing with up to three players who have never played before, the coaches have high hopes for the remainder of the season.
